Privacy statement
This statement covers getaequa.com, the Rules Navigator and any enquiry you send us. It explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the Privacy Act 2020.

Who we are
Aequa is a trading name of Kyt Services NZ Limited (NZBN 9429052956546), Wellington, New Zealand. We are the agency responsible for personal information collected through this site. Our privacy contact is Nic Keating, nic@kyt.nz.
What we collect

Giving us information is optional, but without it we can't reply to you.
We don't use cookies for tracking, advertising or analytics on this site. The site remembers your colour mode in your own browser; that setting never leaves your device.
The Rules Navigator runs in your browser. Your answers aren't sent to us or to anyone else. If you email us about a result, we receive only what you put in the email.
Who sees it
- The Aequa founding team, which includes people who aren't employees of Kyt Services NZ Limited, so that the right person can reply. We share only what they need for that.
- Our service providers: our email provider, and Replit for website hosting. They hold information for us and may store it outside New Zealand, including in the United States. We stay responsible for it.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails only as long as we need them for the conversation and any follow-up, and no longer than two years after our last contact, unless you become a customer.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email nic@kyt.nz. We'll respond within 20 working days.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
The Aequa system
This statement covers the website. Information an agency puts into the Aequa system during a pilot is governed by that agency's contract with us, which sets out hosting, AI providers, retention and data return. See Security status and AI use.
